Bye-bye, 2011!

2011! There are only 32 hours before you end!
Well, seems to me that time quickens year by year.
I remember how I was saying, "it wasn't a bad year, huh?" about 2010. I remember that so clearly and to me it was like two months ago. And now we are saying goodbye to 2011.

2011! It was a year of achievements, good mood sometimes interrupted by deep depression, new meetings, new destinations, new opportunities,  new skills and knowledge.
A year when I gained a lot but lost some great opportunities as well.

Achievements:

• as you already know, I have gone paragliding and realized my old, but true wish!
• I was given the title of "The Best Student of the Year" at our university. To be  honest, up till now I haven't understood the privileges, but my Mum is proud of me, and that's important.
• I was a coordinator of Advertising Campaign Jury and a member of Organizational Committee at Kiev International Advertising Festival and met there a lot of world famous ad men and designers. And you know what? We are still in touch and due to it I am well informed of the advertising world.
• I had a lot of serious tasks which I was to realize all alone. I think, those who gave the tasks, weren't disappointed.
• Finally I bought a Kindle (I spent on it my OWN salary!) and an Android phone!
• Yes, we organized the second "Popok"!

Good mood and depression:

• for good mood thanks to my friends and people I interact with
• for good mood thanks to my job
• for depression thanks to my job.

New meetings:

• huh, that's a long point to talk about. I can't even count how many wonderful people (who later became my good friends) I met. I think, all those to whom it concerns, will understand whom I mean :) If not, please, let me know! Yes, most of them are boys, Mane :)

New destinations:

• Odessa!
• Some Armenian corners I haven't been to with Suren Manvelyan's photo school.
• Belgium!!
• the Netherlands!!! I didn't like this country at first, but as time goes by, I realize why so many people want to leave for that country. Here are some photos to show how mad this country is!!

And to prove that I was there:

New opportunities:

• I had a lot of interesting proposals from different companies. But that's the point of my depression. Don't want to talk about it.

New skills and knowledge:

• I read loads of awesome books, both professional, both fiction. Huh, <3 reading!
• 2011 was a year of master classes, seminars and workshops, conferences on all the possible subjects: internet marketing, advertising, project management (thank you, Status and TBS!), branding, design, marketing (yup, I saw Kotler, but would prefer not to. If the university hadn't given me the chance to visit his master class free of charge, I wouldn't have gone! It was kinda derision), two great events at TUMO, etc. 
• Yes, I was doing well at uni again.
• For almost 6 months I was visiting Suren Manvelyan's school of photography which gave me not only skills and knowledge, but interesting meetings as well.

In some hours 2011 will end up! I am drinking this glass of Heineken for all of you, my dear friends!

You know, I have been ill for 4 days (and now I'm posting with 38C temperature) and if not you I might have gone crazy!

P.S. I do not post on world news, because there was almost no good news :( Hope, that when turning on Euronews in 2012, we'll be hearing good news more often. Though, as Bernard Werber said, it's strange when you hear good news on TV.
